Tom Golich

President’s Circle Chair

Former City of Solana Beach Mayor

Tom Golich joined Nature Collective’s Board of Directors in the 1990s and served for six years. He volunteered in community leadership on City of Solana Beach Council from 1998 to 2004 and was Mayor for one term. During that time, Tom became familiar with coastal development issues facing the Collective’s Harbaugh Seaside Trails project before it was designated open space. When the opportunity to purchase the property was presented, Tom and his wife, Donna, joined as one of the key lenders to the land acquisition. He served on the Harbaugh Seaside Trails Committee to oversee the coastal overlook’s restoration for public trails and native habitat. Tom also served on the board for San Dieguito River Valley Park Joint Powers Authority and chaired its Citizens Advisory Committee. Tom and Donna cherish lagoon walks with their family, beginning more than 50 years ago, and still do today.
